Ten reasons to Thank
OUR LORD!
Everyday should be a Thanksgiving Day for believers. Thanksgiving is good any day. It's good for the soul.
1.Thanksgiving is more meaningful
when it is voluntary, when you give thanksgiving of your own free will as
Leviticus 22:29 says. That's when thanksgiving is the most meaningful to
you. Don't let people drag thanksgiving out of you and don't let God drag it
out of you. Be a thankful person. You'll be better off..
2.
Being thankful renews our faith
A thankful Spirit increases the level of our faith life. Faith becomes real to us. The unseen realm becomes seen and the impossible becomes possible through the eyes of faith. Romans 4:17 Abraham believed God and called things that are as though they are not. Through the eyes of faith Abraham saw himself being the father of many Nations. For the Just shall live by faith and God is a rewarder of those who approach God in faith and believing. yes to be in faith and live in faith is the vital thing for a believer.when we praise God we should do with all are being .
3. Thankfulness opens the door to praise Psalms 22:3……………… God inhabits the praises of His people. When we want to feel the presence of God Just start praising him because our God inhabits on those praises. Praise breaks the stronghold of the devil. Praising God for who God is and what he has done tells God of our trust in Him and his nature thereby God releases His awesome power on our behalf. King david experienced the joy in the lord when he praised with all his heart and he is confirms that his heart is steadfast with the LORD (Psalms57:7) how is our heart with the lord?
4. A thankful heart
keeps us in the will of God. A spirit of thanksgiving
is a sign of a joyous Christian.
Apostle Paul says Philippians 4:12 “I have learned the secret of being
content in any and all situation, whether well fed or hungry ,whether living
in plenty or want” A spirit of thanksgiving makes all the difference. An
ungrateful heart towards God is a heart that is hard towards God. Our
relationship to God grows cold and distant. That’s why the Holy spirit
reminds us to be tenderhearted .Do not harden your heart. Once our heart is
hard we loose our sense of discernment to the voice of God and to thereby to
the will of God. Once we are out of the will of God we are prey to the
devil. Bible says devil is like a roaring lion looking for whom to devour.
An ungrateful heart towards God and fellow believers is a breeding ground
for the devil as we continue in murmurings and complaining. Let’s keep our
hearts tender and stay in the perfect will of God.
5. A thankful heart
opens door for blessings
King David prayed “Wealth and honor comes from you. We give thanks and
praise your glorious name…Everything comes from you..(1Chronicles 29:12-14)
God is interested in the heart of the Person. ……….. God grieves when the
people says Lord, Lord with their lips but their heart is far away. So he is
no longer interested in their offerings and sacrifice. A thankful heart
captures the attention of God. It is God’s nature to bless. And thereby
blessings overflow. Thankful heart gives us victory over our trials and
heartaches.
6.
Thankful heart opens the door for God’s Power. A Spirit
filled life is a Powerful Christian life. Paul asks for boldness to tell
forth the gospel which was his assignment from God. Similarly we cannot do
the will of God that he has placed in our life, unless we have the Power
from above. For we realize that Philippians 2:13 It is God who works in us
to will and to act according to his good pleasure. So thankfulness allows
the presence of God and thereby the resurrection Power to be freely
available to us to empower us to do God’s will.So dear readers in the
Lord!!. Let us be thankful in all things, in all situations so that the
marvelous Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ may richly dwell in us to overflow
that we may BE sufficient in all things and abounding in every good work.
And may the perfect will of OUR Lord be done letting the Kingdom of God to
be established in this earth through each one of us...
"Let
the peace of God rule your hearts, to which also you were called in one body
and be thankful".(Colosians 3:15)

Praise God!
